Vibe Coding Apps

Feb 27, 2025

"Vibe coding apps" are the products that get built when you prioritize feel and outcome over implementation detail. In 2025-2026 they're everywhere: from no-code and low-code surfaces to full-stack apps generated in a single session with Cursor, Bolt, or Lovable.

What they have in common:

  • Fast iteration. You describe or sketch; the system produces a draft. You tweak in natural language or UI. The loop is tight.
  • Empathy-first. The builder is often closer to the user problem than to the code. That can mean better defaults and fewer "engineer-only" abstractions in the UX.
  • Good enough first. The first version works and feels coherent. Performance, edge cases, and scale come later, often with more AI assistance or human refactors.

The risk is the same as with any rapid build: technical debt and unclear ownership of the "real" codebase. The opportunity is to ship something people actually use, then harden it. Vibe coding apps are a reminder that the best app is the one that exists and gets used, not the one that was designed perfectly in a spec. See Vibe Coding and One-Shot Apps for more.
